This is a really nice receiver set. I am only giving 4 stars because there was some flash and really sharp corners where is should probably have been deburred a little better. Also, I had to make some alterations to be able to get the dustcover to operate properly. This may not be an issue with standard metal dustcovers. I am using a Strike Industries polymer dustcover. I also think the hole for the screw that holds the grip on should be threaded all the way through the bottom of the trigger pocket, but this one was not. A quick/easy job with a tap, but just something to be aware of. I also think it would be nice to provide the screw if you opt for the threaded bolt catch pin.

Thanks for the review Anonymous! We’re sorry that you had some sharp corners. We have a QC engineer that will literally spend 30 mins deburring and sanding a part to his level of expectations – that’s 30 mins, when they don’t need it.
And on the dust cover, we don’t typically use aftermarket dust covers so the standard metal covers are the only ones we use to build our Rifles. We do know that the Strike Industries dust covers are ‘stickey’, and we also know that the Magpul dust covers work well. We’re not sure about any of the other 10,000 aftermarket dust covers out there.
We don’t tap the grip hole all the way deep because next to no one actually uses the 3-mile long flat head screw that is still included in all LPKs 70 years after it was deemed far longer than needed. MOST customers purchase an appropriate length socket cap screw – appropriate length meaning just over 1x diameter is more than enough.
And for the threaded Pin for the bolt catch, we have already added it to all of our Lowers on ADR Tactical – we just haven’t moved the option over to 80Lowers yet. But we know that it needs to be done.
